While I have to admit I’ve been behind on updates, I have a good excuse – I’ve been really sick (see When God Calls and Puts You On Hold). As God continues to show us His amazing love through good weather, family, and health, we’ve grown to appreciate the little things such as a great iced mochas, sunshine, and pets.

When I was between seeing the neurologist and family doctor Dustin and I had to travel many times to and from Delaware. On a sunshiny day in historic downtown Delaware we decided to meander into Barley Hopsters Beer Culture, a cute store specializing in beer and wine from all over the world. Although I have been unable to enjoy a glass of wine in months due to my medication, I enjoyed exploring the fruit infused vinos and beautifully designed beer labels. The peach wine grabbed my attention and I checked the price ($10).

Although it’s difficult for Dustin to purchase something that we can’t use (I couldn’t drink the wine), he understood the concept and purchased a bottle for me.

It’s been over a month and the bottle of peach wine is in our trunk, full. I haven’t forgotten it.

Celebrating Our Peach Wine Purchase

Celebrating Our Peach Wine Purchase

Jesus has restored me and I am off all of the pain narcotics and other nerve medications. I can officially enjoy a glass of wine. We discussed this celebration and have decided to “christen” our new apartment with a glass of peach wine. Literally, it’s just a glass of simple wine, but to me it’s a huge symbol of restoration and Jesus’ promises.
